Certification Exams

The ICD offers the CD, ADD, Hoarding, and Aging Specialist exams in various locations in the US and Canada several times a year. The exams are not offered online. For more details on the qualifications to sit for the exams, please click on the links on the side.

Reservations must be made by the specific exam registration deadline date. This is usually two weeks in advance of the exams. Space is limited; it is highly recommended that you register early.

Testing Accommodations

“ICD will make reasonable and appropriate testing accommodations to
subscribers when required.  It is the student’s responsibility to make a request for accommodations in writing to the Certification Program Director at least six weeks before the date the exam is scheduled to be administered.  The request needs to include the following:

  • State the accommodation being requested
  • Identify the reasons for the accommodation and include supporting documentation
  • Provide suggestions as to how the accommodation can be achieved.”

Exam Cancellation Policies

Exam registrants who cancel up to two weeks prior to the event will receive a full refund.

Exam registrants who cancel less than two weeks and within seven days prior to the conference (by mail or ICD e-mail or phone) will receive refunds minus administrative costs.

 

Exam registrants who cancel six days or fewer prior to the event will receive no refund.
